EPL-BY-ND – Attribution + No Derivatives

§1 Subject Matter

This license applies to image material provided in connection with a specific event ("Event Image").

§2 Permitted Use

The Licensee may:

• reproduce and publish the Event Image
• redistribute to third parties who are also bound by these license terms
• use online and offline, digitally and in print media

§3 Attribution Required

The Licensee must give appropriate credit to the creator or rights holder. Attribution must:

• Include the name of the photographer or rights holder as specified by the Licensor
• Be clearly visible and legible in reasonable proximity to the image
• Include the license designation "EPL-BY-ND" where practical
• Not suggest endorsement by the Licensor of the Licensee or their use

Attribution may be provided as caption text, credits section, or metadata embedded in the image file.

§4 No Derivatives

The Event Image must remain unchanged. The following modifications are not permitted:

• Cropping or cutting portions of the image
• Color adjustments, filters, or visual effects
• Integration into collages or composite works
• Adding overlays, text, or graphics (except attribution)

Technical format conversion (e.g., JPEG to PNG) and proportional resizing are permitted.

§5 Purpose Restriction

The Event Image may only be used for promoting the associated event. Use for other purposes – including for other events by the same organizer – is not permitted.

§6 Restrictions

The following uses are not permitted:

• Sale, rental, or sublicensing of the image itself
• Use in contexts that disparage the event, the organizer, or depicted persons
• Use that creates the impression that depicted persons endorse a product or opinion

§7 Duration

This license is granted for an unlimited period. After the event has ended, the image may continue to be used for documentary purposes (retrospectives, archives) in connection with the event.

§8 Warranty and Liability

The Licensor warrants that they hold the necessary rights to grant this license, including copyright and personality rights. The Licensor is liable for defects in title within the scope of statutory provisions.

§9 Acceptance

By using the Event Image, the Licensee accepts these license terms.
